Peter Clutterbuck, MBA,
Chair: Peter has 35 years of experience working in the voluntary sector
on organizational and financial management, strategic planning and community development. He has managed
major multi-million dollar projects in the social services field in Ontario and has held several senior management roles with
human service organizations (e.g. Executive director of Social Planning Council of Metro Toronto, 1991-2000).
He developed the service models NABORS to support developmentally disabled adults in the CHORD and Courtyard Housing
co-ops in the late 1980s.
Rev. Kate Merriman,
Minister of St. Mark’s of Cavalry Anglican Church, Vice Chair: Kate has been involved in housing issues since working at the Fred Victor Centre’s hostel and
long term residence in 1978. She has experience supporting mental health clients and Victims of Domestic
Violence in finding appropriate transitional and supportive housing.
Kam Lau: Kam is the Program Director at York Community Services.
He supervises the Centre’s social programs including Housing Help Program,
Rent Bank Project, Street to Home Case Management Program, and Eviction Prevention Program. Kam is a member
of City of Toronto Rental Housing Advisory Committee and provides support to the West Toronto Coalition on Homelessness.
Previously, Kam Lau had been working in the social service management field in Hong Kong and Toronto
for twenty years. In Toronto, he held a management position for seniors’ services at WoodGreen Community
Centre for 8 years. He became Program Director with York Community Services in 1999 and has successfully
led the organization’s first accreditation in 2000, and the second one in 2003.
St. Elmo Nanton: St. Elmo has experience working in property maintenance and management. He has
been on the Board of Wood Tree Co-operative Housing, and was involved in the development of co-op housing for over 20 years.
Carmelina Macario: Carmelina
has a background in Environmental and Resource Management and will be working on the energy saving strategies and environmental
features of the housing project.
Lisa King: Lisa is the President of Wood Tree Co-operative Housing. She works in community
health promotion and has experience working with people, groups and communities to facilitate inclusion, equity and capacity.
